'A Positive Start for Every Child'

A raft of new childcare proposals were unveiled on Monday by the Scottish Labour party to spearhead a children's plan in its fight back against the Scottish National Party.

'A Positive Start for Every Child',including measures to provide more outdoor spaces for children, waslaunched by Labour leader Wendy Alexander at The Yard, an adventureplayground in Edinburgh. Other initiatives include guaranteed nurseryplaces for vulnerable two-year-olds, a Charter of Support providingrespite care for parents of disabled children, and the creation of anetwork of family learning centres.
