A website has been launched for children with special needs

A website has been launched for children with special needs, their parents and carers who are based in Devon. DISCplus gives families and professionals contact information for local and national support groups and service providers, campaigning organisations and up-to-date advice covering education, health and social care. The project has five local information co-ordinators across the county. Councillor Saxon Spence said, 'Parents told us they wanted a reliable, comprehensive, joined-up information system. Because services for children with special needs are always changing, it was decided the best way to disseminate information was through a website that can be regularly and easily updated.' The website is at www.devon.gov.uk/discplus.
