An extra 9.6m has been allocated by the Welsh Assembly

An extra 9.6m has been allocated by the Welsh Assembly government for mainstream funding for schools, guaranteeing over 2,000 to the smallest primary schools and 7,900 to the largest. Another 1m will also go to support more play facilities for disabled children. A total of 22m has already been set aside for spending on new early years programmes in 2007/08.
