Arrest made over attempted child abduction

Provision
A 17-year-old woman who was caught on CCTV cameras allegedly trying to snatch a child from a nursery in Hull has been arrested and released on police bail.

The unidentified woman, who arrived at Kingston nursery last month and claimed she was there to pick up an 18-month old girl, fled the nursery when staff said that they would need to call the child’s parents to get permission before they could release her into the woman’s custody.

The child’s mother, Marzena Marcin, was horrified when she saw the CCTV images and realised the woman was a complete stranger. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
