Big profits for expanding nursery chain

* Nord Anglia, the private education provider that owns the UK's sixth largest nursery chain, last week reported an overall pre-tax profit of 2.15m for the six months to the end of February. Nord Anglia bought the Milton Keynes-based nursery group Bright Horizons last July, doubling its nursery provision. It has since rebranded all 21 of its settings as Princess Christian nurseries. The nursery division's operating profit was 433,000, with a turnover of 2.48m.

Chairman Kevin McNeany said, 'There is a strong integrated management team in place under which the nursery group is progressing well. Two further new additions are planned within the next few months.'
