Breastfeeding benefits

Children who are breastfed for longer than six months are less likely to have mental health problems later in life, according to research.

A study by the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research inAustralia found a link between breastfeeding duration and behaviour,with behaviour improving for every additional month of feeding. Childrenin the study underwent a mental health assessment when they were two,five, eight, ten and 14 years old. The research is published in the nextedition of the Journal of Paediatrics.
