Broad Green community in Croydon

(Photograph) - Children from the Broad Green community in Croydon, London, enjoy an afternoon of cross-cultural music and dance at 'Family Grooves', a workshop organised by the charity Making Music Matter for children and adults. Croydon Sure Start was among a range of local organisations brought together for the workshop. Sure Start play facilitator Pollina Norville said, 'I became mesmerised by the live music. My mood transformed from being within myself to enjoying a sense of community.' Feedback from the event has been so positive that Making Music Matters is now looking for funding to run regular workshops.
