Busy Bees seeks 300 childcare apprentices

Busy Bees’ training provider is launching 300 childcare apprenticeships for National Apprenticeship Week.

BB Training, which delivers apprenticeships, CPD courses and accredited qualifications to the early years, adult social care and clinical care sectors, has launched the ‘Become 1 in 300’ initiative as part of National Apprenticeship Week this week (4-8 March 2019).

The Staffordshire-based company will offer 300 three-year full-time childcare apprenticeships in the North, South East, South West and Midlands regions of England.

Apprentices will work towards a Level 2 or 3 qualification in early years and functional skills in maths, English and ICT.

All apprentices will receive an employment rights handbook and first aid and food hygiene training.

Clare Phizacklea, chief talent officer at Busy Bees, said, ‘We have a proud history of identifying and developing talent within Busy Bees through apprenticeship training.

‘Apprenticeships provide an incredible opportunity for young people to enter a sector in need of skilled, qualified professionals and we are delighted to be able to support National Apprenticeship week in this way.'
