Calling all nursery managers - enter the Nursery World Awards

The leading awards for the early years sector recognise the very best individuals, settings and initiatives - there's bound to be a category that you can enter.

If you think your setting deserves to be our Nursery of the Year or Pre-School of the Year, then let us know about your brilliant practice. Last year, Little Learners Nursey School in Skegness was judged an 'exciting and inspiring place to be' by our judges.

Or if you run a groups of settings, then you could aim to be Nursery Chain of the Year, like 2010 winner Kids Allowed, which has developed a fantastic staff team and has highly satisfied customers.

Do you emply great early years workers - then enter your staff for Nursery Practitioner of the Year, Early Years Professional of the Year (for qualified EYPs) or Newcomer of the Year. In 2010, Sue Rowley of Thomas Boughey Nursery School in Stoke-on-Trent was declared 'exceptional' for her empathetic and intuitive approach when winning the Practitioner category.

And if you're the best, who know, you could end up being our Nursery Manager of the Year, as Cornelia Harrison of Hopes and Dreams did last year.

There's a wide range of Initiatives categories to go for, too, including:

  • Team Development Award
  • Business Development Award
  • Inclusive Practice Award
  • Nursery Food Award
  • Enabling Environments Award

And new this year is 'Website of the year' so that early years settings can show how their website informs and communicates with parents and acts as a great marketing tool for the nursery.

We have a fantastic judges panel, with experts from across the early years sector lined up to give their verdicts, including Wendy Scott, Penny Tassoni and Marion Dowling.

The closing date for entries, which are now done online, is 11 may, with the Awards evening held at the Lancaster London on 30 September.
