After 10 years working in recruitment, Freya Luxton set up Hopscotch Ltd and is converting listed former Royal Navy buildings in Gosport, Hampshire, into a 70-place day nursery, which will open in a few weeks. 'I looked at sites in Southampton, Winchester and Fareham before getting this one at Royal Clarence Yard in Gosport. Each of them was rejected on highways grounds - essentially, concerns over parking facilities or access.
