Asking price: 245,000 (South Woodford), 650,000 (Loughton) Sav Kalsi, who runs Kids Inc Nurseries, snapped up Cleveland Park Pre-school and its 'sister' nursery Parks Pre-school before they reached the open market. He was put in touch with the vendor by children's day nursery specialist Dowling Kerr.
There is a high demand for the 47 places at Cleveland Park. The children's area is situated on two floors and includes two playrooms, an art room and a baby room. There are also two outside play areas.
Sixty-place Parks Pre-school is located next door to the local railway station. It has five play rooms, two sleep rooms and outdoor play areas.
Mr Kalsi also purchased Clarks Montessori Nursery School in Ilford, Essex from Dowling Kerr in October. He says, 'All three nurseries are geared towards working parents commuting into London.
'Kids Inc Nurseries has chosen to acquire existing businesses rather than setting up new sites as part of its rapid growth strategy. We have been selective in choosing the right businesses in the right locations and aim to be a major provider within three to five years.'
