Resources

Paper, brochures and magazines with photographs of outdoor scenes, fabric, drawing and writing materials, glue and spreaders, scissors.

Preparation

Cut large shapes from paper. Oblongs are the obvious choice for windows, but circles, triangles, diamonds, semi-circles and squares help with shape reinforcement.

Step by step

* Allow each child to choose which shape they want to use and to match it to another of the same shape.

* Fold one of these shapes in half and cut along the fold to create the 'curtains'.
