Childcare information

Childcare information is now available at the click of a button with an interactive TV service launched by the Department for Education and Skills last week. Developed in conjunction with UpMyStreet, a local information publisher, the scheme is the first central Government service to use interactive television nationally. School standards minister Catherine Ashton said, 'Parents can now search around and get the childcare service that suits them. I am delighted that we are involved in this exciting project.'
