Childcare students at the North-East Surrey College of Technology near Epsom were surprised to be joined by Penny Tassoni (front centre), author of textbooks on the Diploma in Childcare and Education, a student handbook on NVQ 3, and Planning Play and the Early Years. Penny ran workshops about observation of children. Senior tutor Mrs Kaye-Besley said, 'Students were a little shy at first to find their guru among them, but laughter and enthusiasm took over.'
