Heinemann Childcare Student of the Year Award

(Photograph) - Judges of the Heinemann Childcare Student of the Year Award toasted this year's winner, Josephine London (centre), at a ceremony held at the Early Years and Primary Teaching exhibition in London on 3 October. Josephine, who has completed the CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education at Bexley College in Kent, received 250 and a selection of Heinemann books worth 300 for her college. The judges were (left to right) Heinemann's childcare publisher Mary James, early years trainer and consultant Penny Tassoni, Jackie Richards of City and Guilds, and Liz Roberts, editor of Nursery World. The three runners-up - Caroline Beale of Stratford-upon-Avon College, Sarah Forster of Tynemouth College in Tyne and Wear, and Laura Phillips of Bournemouth and Poole College in Dorset - each received 100.
