Children at Highways of Hamstreet Kindergarten in Kent

(Photograph) - Children at Highways of Hamstreet Kindergarten in Kent help headteacher Nicky Withey-Stevens plant an apple tree at the opening of their new award-winning outdoor area. An unused piece of land was transformed into an outdoor classroom with wigwam and wormery. The award was presented by the Kent 'Space to Grow' project co-ordinated by school grounds organisation Learning through Landscapes. Highways of Hamstreet was a runner-up in this year's Nursery World Outdoor Challenge.
