Children can sniffle over a new guide

(Photograph) - Children can sniffle over a new guide to nose-blowing after studies carried out for Tixylix cough medicine found that more than 60 per cent of British children do not learn to blow their nose properly until they are five years old and it is the hardest skill to master after tying their shoelaces. Child health expert Dr Sarah Brewer, who helped produce the guide, said, 'Learning to blow your nose has several different stages and it takes quite a lot of co-ordination for children to successfully link each action.' Free packs with the guide and 'I've learnt to blow my nose' stickers will be available in early years settings and pharmacies, or by calling 020 7009 2805.
