Children from Fortune Park Early Years Centre in Islington, London

Children from Fortune Park Early Years Centre in Islington, London, enjoyed Indian dancing when they took part in Dance Your Way Around the World. The end-of-term celebration featured Kathak, a classical dance from north India; Bahratnatyan, a classical dance from south India; Capoeira, a Brazilian martial arts dance; Japanese folk dancing; and aboriginal tribal dancing from New Zealand. Manuela Benini, movement play leader for Sure Start Islington, said, 'Watching people perform traditional dance from around the world gave children first-hand experience of different cultures in London.'
