Computer version of snakes and ladders

A computer version of snakes and ladders helps players find their way through the perils of parenting. The resource, launched by the Orkney Childcare Partnership and interactive software developer, Information PLUS, is aimed at helping young or inexperienced parents, school pupils and parenting classes think about common parenting problems. It includes 75 dilemmas, 50 general health and development questions and 42 general discussion themes. Sandra Leslie, co-ordinator of the Orkney Childcare Partnership, said it was 'a non-threatening, fun way of tackling parenting skills development'. Suitable for anyone aged 14 or older, the game is co-operative rather than competitive, and players have to pool their knowledge and skills to reach the top. The Orkney Childcare Partnership is offering 25 free copies of Parenting Snakes and Ladders to local childcare organisations.
