Design An Alien winners named

Alien creatures from outer space were the theme of this year’s Morton Michel art competition.

More than 1,800 children from early years and childcare settings from across the country let their imaginations free to design their own alien.

Nursery World’s editor Liz Roberts judged the winners in three categories.

jessica-3-humpty-dumpty-day-nurseryPrizes were kindly donated by Eduzone, Fine Solutions and TTS to each individual winner, with their setting also receiving a special prize.

Three-year-old Jessica from Humpty Dumpty Nursery in Burton-on-Trent was the winner in the under-fives category with her brightly coloured alien, winning an astronaut suit and a space station from Eduzone for her nursery.

Alice, aged seven, was the five-to-seven category winner with her two-headed alien, winning a Fine Solutions Plant Explorer for herself and amazing Space Sand for the Let’s Get Started After School Art Club in Farnham, which she attends.
