Don't miss Nursery World's great new autumn series!

Practice
The revised EYFS, working with parents, school readiness, and resources to follow children's interests are just some of the topics we'll be covering in depth over the next few months and beyond.

A vital four-part guide to the revised Early Years Foundation Stage, by Ann Langston, starts in the 6-19 September issue, running once a month until the end of the year. Ann will provide an overview of the changes currently out for consultation, and give expert advice on the planning cycle under the new Prime and Specific areas of learning.

Well-known early years consultant Helen Bromley will be writing a monthly series of wide-ranging features on aspects of Working with Parents, such as the definition of the family, home visits, gathering information and discussing children's progress.

Hot topic School-readiness is the subject of a three-part series, based on major research by Cambridge Univerity's Faculty of Education for TACTYC. Articles will examine the notions of readiness for learning and readiness for school, as well as the concept of the setting being ready for the needs of the child.
