Eco-challenge for nurseries

Nurseries, pre-schools and primary schools throughout the UK are asked to take part in the Yellow Woods Challenge, an eco-educational initiative run by Yell.

The Challenge is designed to help young children learn about the environment and supports local authority recycling schemes and the Woodland Trust.

Those who register on the scheme will receive curriculum linked teaching resources including videos, lesson plans and interactive whiteboard materials, along with monthly e-newsletters and topical eco-ideas and activities.

There will also be a chance to take part in the Kirk’s Recycling competition, where schools who recycle old yellow pages directories can win up to £500 in cash or educational Woodland Trust prizes.
