EYDCP's Award

A Newcastle day nursery has received North Tyneside EYDCP's Award for Celebrating Childcare for its commitment to continuous staff training and development and for being the first nursery in the area to attain Investors in People status. Senior nursery manager Debbie Barrass said the award was a tribute to the dedication of the staff at the Forest Hall Day Nursery, which is part of the Northumbrian Trust Day Nurseries chain. She added, 'We have set and maintained the highest standards possible so that all of our clients receive the finest childcare provision, and we will continue to develop these further in the future.' EYDCP partnership officer Linda Crummack said the nursery won the award 'for demonstrating how all staff from cook to manager can develop their full potential'.
