This is easier said than done for many practitioners. Religion, sadly, remains a contentious subject. It can be central to someone's life, or an irrelevance. Church attendances in the UK are at their lowest for many years, but today about the same number of people take part in non-Christian religious ceremonies. Put simply, it is not possible to approach religious issues without examining a variety of faiths and beliefs. Our own views or beliefs might need reviewing to ensure a positive attitude towards the beliefs of children and their families.
