Fingerprint entry systems give chain tighter security

A state-of-the-art fingerprint entry system is being introduced to Kidsunlimited nurseries across the UK in order to improve security at the chain's settings.

Chief executive Lee Pearson said, 'With our continued commitment to the provision of excellent security, technology and educational programmes at our nurseries across the country, we aim to remain at the forefront of innovative childcare.'

The new entry systems, supplied by Honeycomb, will enable staff to oversee security on each site and allow head office to ensure that staff numbers and company standards are consistently met.

The security system will enable closer monitoring of the premises, no longer having to rely on staff to recognise each individual parent, or for fobs and pass numbers to be used.

To gain access to any nursery, parents and guardians must first register their fingerprints and place their registered finger on an electronic reader to enter and exit the building.
