(Photograph) - Fourteen women, for many of whom English is a second language, were awarded NVQ level two certificates in childcare last month after completing a one-year, part-time course in the London borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. The local EYDCP team co-ordinator, Pat Bunche, presented certificates at a ceremony attended by (back row, left to right) course tutor Danielle Williams, students Catherine Matkov, Safia Saldeeye and Marisa Lagraa and (front row, left to right) Norma Jude, Evelyn Sinclair and Shazia Aslam.

All of the students have gone on to either childcare jobs or further training.
