Fraserburgh Disabled Group fundraiser

(Photograph) - Primary 1 pupils at Westfield School in Fraserburgh were the lucky recipients of a hand-crafted rocking horse, after the former Scottish National Party leader Alex Salmond won it in a raffle. Mr Salmond, who won the top prize in the Fraserburgh Disabled Group fundraiser, said, 'I was delighted to win. I have visited Westfield School several times and I thought the children could give it a good home.' Gordon Davidson, headteacher at the special needs school, said, 'The children's faces lit up when they saw the rocking horse.' The wooden horse was made by local retired fisherman Bob Nicol.
