Fully furnished

It's a small world when children compare the spaces and furnishings in their doll's house with their own homes, in a new project by Jean Evans and Dianne Irving A project on doll's houses offers exciting opportunities for children to progress towards the early learning goals in all six areas of learning. This three-part project starts with the exploration of traditional doll's houses and furniture, then moves on to Toby's Doll's House by Ragnhild Scamell (David & Charles Children's Books, 4.99) and making a house for Toby from recycled materials, following his specification. Finally, children discover for themselves different ways of making doll's houses from a range of construction equipment found within every nursery.
