Chestnuts Day Nursery has opened its third setting.

The nursery group, located in Gloucestershire, has opened its third nursery in Quedgeley after securing a £700,000 finance package.

The 2,045 square foot Quedgeley site has been reconfigured to create more space and incorporate new children’s toilets, and a new garden including climbing frames and outdoor kitchen has been added with the help of the funding package the group received from HSBC UK.

Chestnuts Day Nursery group already has two settings in Barnwood and Longlevens with registered places for 150 children in total.

The new 60-place setting will allow the group to increase its capacity by 40 per cent to 210 children.

Liz Kelly, co-founder of Chestnuts Day Nursery, said, ‘It’s an exciting time for us as we expand into Quedgeley. It’s a great area that has many young families who need extra support and care for their children. We’ve been able to develop the nursery’s facilities to ensure our children get the best experience possible.’

David Butler, HSBC UK’s area director for Bristol, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire, said, ‘We are delighted to help Chestnuts Day Nursery, a long-term customer of ours and one that continues to grow strategically.'
