Sophie, three, attends nursery every weekday while her mother is at work.
She arrives at the setting early in the morning.
In the afternoons, Sophie would often push the other children or spoil their games and usually end up in tears. Sophie's practitioners realised this was probably because she was tired after an early start. They discussed the problem with Sophie's mother and decided to let Sophie have a nap after lunch while the other children had quiet time.
Sophie is now refreshed and ready to enjoy the rest of the day's activities.
In advance
Callum, seven, has ADHD which is controlled by the drug Ritalin. He finds difficulty in working in large groups, usually disrupting the session with inappropriate behaviour.
