Guidelines for playgrounds for children who have special needs

Guidelines for playgrounds for children who have special needs are to be drawn up by the National Playing Fields Association after the charity received a gift of 120,000 from the HSBC Bank. The donation, the largest the NPFA has ever received from a financial body, was presented to its chair, Alison Moore-Gwyn. She said, 'This project will highlight the needs of children and young people with a range of disabilities. It is a scheme which is dear to the heart of the NPFA as it promotes learning through recreation.' The money was raised by HSBC as a promotion to encourage its credit card holders to redeem their remaining loyalty points, which expired at the end of October 2001.
