Have your say on early years arts and creativity

Arts Council England (ACE) is asking early years practitioners to contribute to a consultation on arts and creative practice in early years settings.

The consultation is specifically focused on assessing the viability and attraction of an early years-specific award for arts and creative practice.

ACE already offers an Artsmark award to schools which demonstrate a commitment to providing arts and cultural opportunities for all pupils, and is now looking to offer a similar recognition of early years settings that encourage the arts.

The consultation forms part of the research commissioned by ACE on ways of supporting early years settings to develop their work on arts and culture. The research will be carried out by Earlyarts, a creative arts training company for early educators, and World Pencil, an organisation developing projects to unite arts, education and sustainability.
