* Houghton Nursery Group in Carlisle has obtained a 293,950 grant from the Big Lottery Fund. The money will enable the nursery, which currently operates from a village hall, to provide a purpose-built nursery unit in the grounds of Houghton Church of England Primary School. The new unit will offer full wraparound care incorporating a breakfast club, after-school club and holiday club.
