Trainer and consultant Phil Churchill has designed a new workshop which is targeted at local authorities and nursery employers.
A key theme of the one-day session, 'Managing in difficult times (in times of austerity)', is identifying, understanding and addressing strategic issues. This involves participants looking at ways in which they can be pro-active and focus on opportunities as well as challenges. The workshop helps practitioners to keep morale and motivation high by looking at how to manage expectations, retain talent and continue to develop leaders and the team.
Other courses Mr Churchill runs include 'Step up to management', a two-day introductory programme for new or soon-to-be-appointed managers, 'Performance management', 'Assertiveness and self-confidence' and 'Cost-effective marketing and PR' (for small firms).
