Additional copies of a training resource to help nursery workers support children's speech and language development are now available. Around 10,000 early years settings have already received an ICANTALK! pack, developed by the charity ICAN. The pack contains a video, booklet, poster and information on where to seek advice and support for children with language difficulties. It received an enthusiastic response from playgroup supervisor Fiona Wheeler of Stockton Lane Playgroup in Leeds. She said, 'I think simple activities like this are really effective in extending children's vocabulary. It also gives them the confidence to say something in a group, and they enjoy it too.'
