Impractical training

I am a BTec qualified nursery nurse with ten years experience and co-manager of a 52-place private day nursery. Am I the only childcare professional who is concerned about the standards that newly-qualified staff have been taught to? I have adopted a secondary measure within my nursery to ensure that staff are meeting the standards required because some of the NVQ qualified staff are not being given practical childcare teaching. Instead they are only being taught how to pass an NVQ.
