In brief...10th anniversary of National Early Years Network

The National Early Years Network is marking the tenth anniversary of the UK's ratification of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child by devoting its annual conference to examining the relationship between recent education, care and health policies and young children's rights. Speakers at the conference in London on 15 November will include Maggie Smith, director of Ofsted's Early Years Directorate, Al Aynsley Green, director of Children's Healthcare Services, and broadcaster Claire Rayner, and it will be chaired by Ann Phoenix, senior lecturer in developmental psychology at the Open University.
