Children have been invited by Highland SAFE KIDS Coalition to design their ideal play space for a competition launched on 1 August to coincide with National Play Day. Open to all children throughout the Highlands, the competition has three categories - under-eights, eight to 12 and 12 plus. Highland councillor David Alston said, 'The competition will be fun, but it will also be a form of consultation to find out what it is that children value in the places they play or want to play.'
