Jane Haywood, chief executive of the Children's Workforce Development Council, has been presented with an MBE for services to young people. The award recognises Ms Haywood's 30-year commitment to providing summer camps for children aged between nine and 12 in West Yorkshire. Ms Haywood said, 'Volunteering has been part of my life for many years. Running the scheme now also has the bonus of ensuring I keep in touch with the issues around working with children and young people for my role at CWDC.'
