In brief...The National Foundation for Youth Music

The National Foundation for Youth Music has announced a third round of grants to support its pioneering music scheme for under-fives. 'First Steps', the first national music programme of its kind, was set up to give all children access to music education. Foundation chief executive Christina Choker said, 'We believe in the positive power of music and we're working to ensure the provision of all kinds of music-making opportunities for all children and young people. The earlier they begin, the better.' For details and a grant application pack, contact the Foundation on 08450 560 560.
