Inclusive trojans

Jackie Nunns (far left), director of Trojans, the charity that runs a group of out-of-school clubs in south London, was a runner-up in the New Statesman Upstarts Awards 2004 earlier this year. Her award, in the Upstarts Achievement category for bringing about social inclusion through enterprise, was presented by Nigel Griffiths MP (left), minister for social enterprise. Ms Nunns established Trojans in 1994, and the group now has playschemes based in primary schools in Lambeth and Wandsworth that cater for 2,600 children each week.
