Lead from the top

We all talk about developmentally-appropriate curricula for young children, and how important it is for childcare workers, nursery teachers and all who work with young children to continue their education and training in order to become experts in their field. I wonder if all the administrators who run private and public childcare centres really know how many dedicated teachers and assistants are working long hours in nurseries, and pay for their own training in order to be the best in their field? I want the administrators to know that one of the reasons people are leaving this wonderful field is because of a lack of support and respect from some of the administrators, who have forgotten what it takes to be a good infant, toddler, and pre-school teacher.
