Learning and Teaching

Learning and Teaching Scotland has appointed Bernard McLeary as its new chief executive to take over the post from Mike Baughan when he retires in June. Mr McLeary is currently director of education services at Inverclyde Council. He said, 'I am delighted to be appointed to the post. This is an important time for Scottish education in relation to the development of the curriculum and the use of ICT in learning and teaching. Learning and Teaching Scotland will continue to lead the way nationally and support developments in these and other areas. Our focus will be to enhance the quality of the educational experiences of learners and to help improve pupil achievement within an inclusive education system.'
