(Photograph) - A barn owl greeted partygoers at the Lord Mayor of London's annual children's fancy dress ball at Mansion House, London, on 11 January. More than 500 children and 300 adults from all over England were welcomed by the Lord Mayor, Alderman Gavyn Arthur, and the Lady Mayoress, Carole Blackshaw, and they enjoyed an afternoon that included animal encounters, the Royal Artillery Dance Band, games and a traditional tea.
