The BBC also said former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell has signed a six-book deal with Macmillan to write children's books starring a nine-year old heroine, Ugenia Lavender, and familiar-sounding characters including Princess Posh Vatoria and Uncle Gordon (inspired by Ramsey, not Brown).
The first new Mr Men series in more than a decade is to hit TV screens next year, said The Independent, with reworked versions of 25 of the late Roger Hargreaves' popular characters.
