An amateur dramatics group staging a pantomime version of 'Pirates of the Caribbean' in Carnon Downs, Cornwall, has been told by police to keep two plastic swords and a pop-up gun under lock and key whenever the props are not being used on stage, said The Times.

Co-director Elaine Gummow said that to satisfy health and safetyregulations she had to inform the local constabulary if she planned tomove the offending items.

A giant Pacific octopus living in a Cornish aquarium has formed anunlikely bond with a plastic Mr Potato Head, reported the BBC. 'Wewanted an octopus-friendly toy that had a compartment to hide food in,'said the aquarium's Matt Slater. He added that the octopus, named Louis,gets very excited when he sees the toy, which he plays with for an hourat a time.
