Almost two out of three nurses at the Royal College of Nursing's annual conference last week voted against a ban on smacking children, reported the Times. A primary school teacher from Aberdeenshire has invented a walking harness for a group of children to wear on school outings. The 'Walkodile' makes them look like one big crocodile and safely links up six children aged from three to seven by clips attached to a central spine. Elaine Stephens has remortgaged her house to market her invention, reported the Daily Record.
