Meningitis sufferers

Meningitis sufferers have been invited by the Meningitis Trust to share their stories on its new website at www.meningitis-trust.org as part of the charity's Support for Life campaign, which aims to foster a greater understanding of the after-effects of the disease and offer support to survivors and their families. Trust chief executive Philip Kirby said, 'We know that meningitis leaves lives and families devastated, and people are living with the effects of meningitis, often for the rest of their lives. We want to hear from them.' The website also includes up-to-date information on symptoms, treatment, vaccinations and prevention, as well as contact details for local support groups and related events across the UK.
