The minimum wage for adults will rise to 5.05 an hour in October, up from 4.85. Hourly pay for workers aged 18 to 21 will increase from 4.10 to 4.25. The Government has also provisionally scheduled a further increase in the adult minimum wage rate to 5.35 in October 2006.
