More music

Mumbaba music workshops has now released a second tape of 46 songs and rhymes to do with young children, which is especially suited for playgroups. It includes songs for counting, learning the months of the year, and, says proprietor Chris Strode, a new tune for reciting the alphabet -'because children have always struggled with that line LMNOP'. A franchise operation has now been set up for the workshops, so that for a fee of Pounds 200 anyone wanting to run their own sessions can use the Mumbaba name, receive the training and acquire the necessary equipment and handbooks. Thanks to a little publicity in these pages in October, Chris says, she has been asked to lead workshops as far afield as Sunderland - 'which is about as far away from southern Hampshire as you can get!' Mumbaba can be contacted on 01243 389 844.
